All Library visitors are expected to be Courteous, Committed, Helpful and Safe at all time. All Copper Canyon rules are in effect before, during, and after school.
Courteous: - Returning materials on time, so others may use them. - Maintaining a quiet and respectful atmosphere at all times. -Be considerate, polite and patient. - Use appropriate language. - Refrain from eating and drinking in the library at all times, including bottled water.
Committed: - Use school computers for educational purposes only. - Pay for any lost or damaged materials promptly. - Conserve printer paper and ink by only printing necessary documents.
Helpful: - Share the tables and computers with other students. - Respect the learning environment. - Push in chairs when leaving the Library. - Assist classmates and study together outside of class.
Safe: - Sign in using your student I.D. when entering the library. - Bring your pass to the Circulation Desk upon arrival. - Follow safety and emergency rules. - Follow other directions as given.
Library visitors who fail to follow the above rules and other directions will be asked to leave the library.
Hours
-Monday, Wednesday-Friday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. -Library closures may happen occasionally. A sign will be posted on the door.
Circulation Policies
- Students must have a student I.D. in order to use the library and check out materials. - Students may check out up to 3 books at a time, provided that the student does not have any overdue books or fines. - The checkout period is 15 school days. - Books may be renewed one time. - Students will be charged for lost or damaged books. - After a book is 20 days late, the student is charged for the replacement cost of the book. Please return books on time. - E-books are available to students at any time. 4,000 e-books are available via the link on the library webpage. Your username and password are on your Library Bookmark. You may also email the Media Specialist for your username and password. Students use their ID number as their username and password. You can download e-books to your smart device or computer.
- All computer use is monitored by library staff. Computer use is a privilege that can be revoked at any time. Inappropriate use may be referred to the administration.
Late Start/ Early Release Seniors
- Seniors with release time are welcome to work in the Library during their release time. - Upon their arrival, Seniors must scan their I.D. and show their I.D. at the Circulation Desk. -Seniors are expected to use this time to complete school work. - Seniors will be asked to leave if they are off task or disruptive.
